In January 2020, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum had set the stage for the Dubai Future District Fund by launching seed to growth venture fund in Dubai, seeded with an initial AED1 billion to fund startups tackling the future of finance and future economies with local commitment and global ambitions that are shaping the next chapter of Dubai and the region and filling a crucial gap in Dubai’s ecosystem for supporting innovative startups and emerging technology companies.
As of September 2021, the Dubai Future District Fund has launched to support the development of more venture capital investments into startups and entrepreneurs, tackling the most critical challenges facing the world while creating future jobs and contributing to the diversification of our economy.
